Copyright Information

  • Every single word on this site was written by me, a practicing dentist.  We do not employ copywriters or marketers to write content.  A trained copywriter may be a better writer than us, but we know far more about dentistry than they do.
  • All photos and x-rays on this site, unless otherwise noted, were taken by us.  They represent years of patient care and much skill and expertise went in to producing these images.
  • Some logos and diagrams come from common sites – such as the American Dental Association logo – and are free to use by members.
  • Select photos come from sites such as istockphoto.com.  We paid for the use of these images and were granted a license to use them on this website.  Thus we are not violating any copyrights.

Photo of teeth with do not copy watermarkUnfortunately, in some professions, dentistry included, theft of intellectual property does occur.  Images and text on this website represent the intellectual property of this practice.

We employ more than one monitoring service to scour the internet to search for stolen images and content.

If a website is found to be copying content, I will send a very polite email requesting that the content be removed.  If that does not work, I will send another very polite email repeating the request.

Content from this website and my other dental website, Directions in Dentistry, has been stolen before. Fortunately, all of the website owners complied with my request to remove the pirated material.

Thank you for reading this and respecting the intellectual property of others.
